All nominations must be received by 5:00 PM, September 5, 2025. No submissions after that will be accepted.

Awards will be presented at the AIA Miami Design Awards Celebration on October 24, 2025.

Individuals are encouraged to nominate themselves and/or others by submitting the information requested below. Nominations will not be considered without supporting documentation.

  • Architect of the Year (AIA Miami Members Only): Recognizes an architect who has made special contributions to the profession whether through excellence in design, service to the Chapter, or in raising public awareness of the role of architecture in the community.
  • Associate of the Year (AIA Miami Members Only): Recognizes an Associate Member who has made special contributions to the profession whether through excellence in design, service to the Chapter, or in raising public awareness of the role of architecture in the community.
  • Citizen Architect (AIA Miami Members Only): Individuals are eligible if they have demonstrated civic engagement by being elected to public office; serving on a public board, commission, or committee, either as AIA representative or individually as an architect; demonstrated a commitment to community outreach as an architect, including providing pro-bono services for government, a school or a non-profit community organization; involved in advocacy activities intended to improve the built environment and social equity.
  • Allied Member of the Year: Recognizes an AIA Miami Allied Member who has made a special contribution to the industry and through their support of AIA Miami.

  • Cheryl Jacobs Prize for Service: The Cheryl H. Jacobs AIA Miami Impact Award for Exceptional Service to the Chapter. Given to non-architect members of the community who has had a great impact within the architectural industry.
  • H. Samuel Kruse Silver Medal (Members Only)
  • Leadership in Education: Recognizes a member of the academic community who has made a special contribution to the field of architectural or urban design education.
  • Leadership in Government: Presented to an elected official or public staff member who has made a significant contribution to the awareness of architectural or urban design issues, who has participated in the public side of the design process in such a way as to make a positive contribution to the built environment.
  • General Contractor of the Year: Presented to a contractor who through the quality of his or her work and the professionalism of his or her service has raised the standards of the building arts
  • Consulting Engineer of the Year: Recognizes a consulting engineer who has made a significant contribution to the advancement of the profession of building engineering or achievement in engineering design.
