Upcoming Training Reminder: Fair Housing Act Requirement 7 / Kitchens

Join us for a detailed overview of Kitchens under Requirement 7, plus a live Q&A with an accessibility expert.

This 90-minute Fair Housing Accessibility FIRST training explores Requirement 7 of the Fair Housing Act Guidelines, focusing on the technical design and construction guidance for creating usable kitchens. Participants will learn how to identify key elements such as clear floor spaces, approaches, cabinet and counter configurations, and pantry accessibility. The session will also present strategies to improve usability and compliance in both conventional and U-shaped kitchen layouts.

During the Q&A part of the training, accessibility expert Eric Contreras will answer your questions about the Fair Housing Act, Fair Housing Act Design Manual, Safe Harbors, and other accessibility issues live.

Each attendee who attends for 45 minutes or longer will receive a certificate of attendance. Certificates are also available for passing the final quiz.

The 2:00pm – 3:30pm training session includes ASL interpreters.
