AIA Miami wants to keep our members informed on the ongoing work of the Evaluation and Appraisal Report (EAR) Task Force. The EAR is a major, state-mandated audit that occurs every seven years to assess whether the County’s Comprehensive Development Master Plan (CDMP) is effectively meeting its goals across a wide range of critical issues, including housing, transit, and resilience.

We are proud to share that Mayor Daniella Levine Cava has specifically selected the AIA Miami Chapter to serve on this Task Force, recognizing the vital role architects play in shaping our community. This is a significant milestone for our profession, as the AIA did not have direct membership in the previous two EAR cycles (2012 and 2018). Having a direct voice at the table is a privilege, but it requires the active participation of our membership to be effective.
