Mass Timber Design and Construction 101 is an introductory course for architects, engineers, construction professionals, and designers. This course covers the use of natural and engineered wood products in construction, focusing on fire safety, code regulations, layout, connections, bay spacing, lateral design, and aesthetics. The course highlights wood’s natural attributes for creating striking architectural elements and discusses how regional sourcing and manufacturing affect the quality, availability, and cost of mass timber products.
