Gurrimatute is seeking a Sr. Program Manager to lead the owners representation support services for a major seaport in South Florida, with a 5-year capital improvement plan including new infrastructure, new cruise and cargo terminal port projects, cargo yard efficiencies and overall improvements. These projects include 5 new cruise berths, new cruise berthing facilities, upgrades and expansions of existing cruise terminals, and other significant investments in cargo terminal yards, gantry cranes, gate complexes, Ropax facilities, roadways, rail systems, and supporting infrastructure. This senior position will maintain a direct line of communication with the Capital
Improvements Director, and will require a minimum commitment of 3 years. The primary responsibility of this position is to deliver the capital improvement plan on schedule and within the seaport’s budget.
Job Responsibilities:
• Direct oversight of the most complex and time-sensitive projects, along with leading a team of professional engineers and other disciplines
• Proven track record of leading and managing direct reports and ancillary reports (including subcontractors and vendors)
• Ability to maintain ongoing operations during phased construction
• Ability to maintain clear and direct communication, and to collaborate with numerous authorities having jurisdiction; presentations to key stakeholders and the community
• Clear understanding of project funding, including federal, State, and County grants, and project drawdown analysis
• Documented experience in project management, including architecture management, design management of large transportation projects, including seaports
• Experience with resolution of claims and conflict resolution
• Ability to drive automobiles or similar job site vehicles and ability to engage in physical activity (indoors and outdoors under varying weather) on a regular and recurring basis, including working over rough and uneven surfaces, navigating around excavation sites, stooping and bending
• Other misc duties as assigned
