About Us:
2+Architects is a dynamic architectural and interior design firm in Coral Gables, Florida, specializing in multidisciplinary projects. We are expanding our team and looking for experienced architects to join us in executing various hospitality, commercial, retail, residential, and institutional projects.
Position Overview:
We seek candidates with at least 7-10 years of experience in architectural projects. This role involves leading significant projects and managing the entire design and construction lifecycle, from concept to completion, with minimal oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the design and execution of complex architectural projects.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time completion and adherence to project goals.
• Collaborate with project teams, consultants, and clients to ensure design integrity and meet client expectations.
• Create detailed architectural drawings, construction documents, and specifications.
• Oversee the construction administration phase, including site visits and contractor coordination.
• Apply knowledge of the Florida Building Code (FBC), International Building Code (IBC), NFPA, ADA, and other regulatory standards.
• Contribute to an open studio environment and foster teamwork and creativity.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in architectural practice, emphasizing design and project management.
• Professional degree in Architecture or Interior Design (Bachelor’s or Master’s) from an accredited institution.
• Registration as an architect is desirable but not a requirement.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, including the ability to produce construction documents and detailed architectural drawings.
• Familiarity with Photoshop, SketchUp, 3DS Max, Rhino, InDesign, and Illustrator is preferred.
• Knowledge of building codes, construction detailing, and systems coordination.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Experience in Construction Administration and managing project teams.
Work Environment & Schedule:
• In-person work at our Coral Gables office.
• Full-time, 8-hour work shifts.
• Fridays off every other week
