SUMMARY:Tecnoglass Lecture Series: Housing for All — Marina Acayaba + Juan Pablo Rosenberg / AR Arquitetos (Brazil)
DESCRIPTION:Presented by the University of Miami School of Architecture. Earn 1.5 HSW/LU. \nHousing has become one of the defining questions of our time\, shaped by climate\, affordability\, migration\, density\, infrastructure\, identity\, and the fundamental human need to belong. Architecture is central to this conversation\, not simply as shelter\, but as a way of imagining how we live together. \nFor the second consecutive year\, the University of Miami School of Architecture continues its exploration of housing\, building on the fall 2025 tecnoglass lecture series. Housing for All approaches dwelling as a cultural\, social\, environmental\, and spatial question\, one that must continually evolve. \nThis fall\, five architectural practices from Colombia\, Switzerland\, the United Kingdom\, Portugal\, and Brazil bring distinct perspectives on how housing can respond to landscape\, climate\, materials\, culture\, and everyday life. \nTogether\, these five practices expand the conversation begun in 2025\, demonstrating that housing cannot be reduced to quantity\, efficiency\, or repetition. Housing is landscape. Housing is infrastructure. Housing is material\, memory\, climate\, intimacy\, and collective life. \nThe fall 2026 tecnoglass lecture series continues the school’s commitment to placing housing at the center of architectural discourse—not as a problem to be solved\, but as an enduring question that demands continual investigation. Housing for All is ultimately an invitation to imagine housing not simply as a unit to be produced\, but as a living framework for dignity\, belonging\, beauty\, and shared everyday life. \nDownload Event Poster [PDF]

SUMMARY:What is Dynamo? Presented by Digital Drafting Systems
DESCRIPTION:WHAT IS DYNAMO? \nDynamo is a visual programming environment built for Revit that lets you automate repetitive modeling and documentation tasks without writing code — you connect nodes on a canvas to read data\, run logic\, and push results back into your project. For firms running production Revit work\, it turns hours of manual sheet setup\, parameter entry\, and file export into scripts that run in seconds and run the same way every time. \nLEARNING OBJECTIVES: \n\nExplain the fundamentals of visual programming and how Dynamo connects to Revit to automate common workflows.\nCreate a Dynamo script to generate a complete Revit sheet set from an Excel list.\nDevelop a Dynamo workflow to batch-export Revit sheets to PDF and DWG\, reducing repetitive manual work.\nBuild a Dynamo script to automatically populate room and door parameters across a Revit model to improve accuracy\, consistency\, and efficiency.\n\nWHO SHOULD ATTEND: \n\nArchitects\nBIM Managers and BIM Coordinators\nRevit Users\nProject Managers and Project Coordinators\nDesigners and Technicians\nAEC professionals responsible for BIM standards and production workflows\nAnyone looking to automate repetitive Revit tasks\, reduce errors\, improve consistency\n\nAIA CEU PENDING APPROVAL

SUMMARY:Designing A Sense Of Place presented by Miami Center for Architecture and Design
DESCRIPTION:How Architecture\, Interiors & Environment Create the Miami Experience \nWhat makes a place feel unmistakably Miami? \nJoin us for an intimate evening exploring how architecture\, interiors\, and the surrounding environment come together to create a distinctive sense of place. From the language of a building to the textures\, colors\, materials\, light\, and landscape that surround it\, design has the power to shape not only how we experience a space—but how we remember it. \nDesigning a Sense of Place will take a closer look at the elements that contribute to Miami’s unique visual and cultural identity\, examining how thoughtful design can reflect its climate\, history\, lifestyle\, and ever-evolving character. \nHeld in an intimate setting with a limited capacity\, the evening will offer an opportunity for designers\, architects\, creatives\, and design enthusiasts to connect\, exchange ideas\, and explore what it means to create spaces that feel truly rooted in their environment.

By investing in FAPAC\, you raise the level of awareness of architects in the political process. Additionally\, you can help elect lawmakers who are supportive of your political agenda\, and most importantly\, understand the nature of your profession. \nIn recent years\, FAPAC has targeted candidates that have made a difference. Through our political efforts and local input\, we contributed to candidates who were major players and were elected. \nRegister \n\nSPONSORSHIP \nBowling for a cause. Students are organized into age-based studios\, beginning with Studio 1 for ages 8–10 and progressing through Studio 4 for older students. Classes are led by licensed architects and architecture students and are designed to be fun\, challenging\, and intellectually engaging. Now in its 20th year\, this program is proudly offered in partnership with a University School of Architecture. \nSee the creativity\, collaboration\, and fun from our 2025 Architecture Camp as we get ready for 2026!
