The purpose of this course is to make the case that a comprehensive design approach that integrates ADA design requirements\, Universal design strategies\, and WELL initiatives provides an inherently accessible and healthier restroom space for all users. “Total design” encompasses all design practices that include a wide spectrum of usage for all people. DESCRIPTION:Join us to learn how to edit markups and PDFs with Bluebeam Revu. We will cover page insertion\, extraction\, and modifications. We’ll learn how to sort Markups and create sophisticated Tool Chests full of markups that are relevant to our workflow. Likewise\, we’ll demonstrate how the Comparison and Overlay tools work hand-in-hand to show us where and what changed between revision sets. We’ll also explain how we can automatically place specific markups on symbols on our PDFs with Visual Search. \nDocument & Page Management: Our PDFs can have multiple pages with unique properties. We can rotate them\, extract specific pages\, and insert more pages into our PDF file.\nMarkup Organization: A markup can have a “Subject” and/or “Label” assigned to it. This allows it to be sorted in our Tool Chest. We’re also able to change how our Tool Chest displays markup data that differentiates similar markups.\nComparisons & Overlays: To avoid redundancies\, we can use the Compare Documents and Overlay Pages tools to locate differences and confirm what changed.\nVisual Search: If we need count symbols or turn them into markups\, we can do so with text and Visual Search.\n\nAttendees will receive 1 AIA CEU

DESCRIPTION:Join AIA Miami’s representative\, Aaron DeMayo\, at a Town Hall Meeting to discuss insights and gather feedback to ensure our collective voice is heard. \nIn addition to this Town Hall meeting for AIA Miami members\, you are invited to attend the County Master Plan Workshops. \nHere’s more information on the Workshops. \nAIA Miami wants to keep our members informed on the ongoing work of the Evaluation and Appraisal Report (EAR) Task Force. The EAR is a major\, state-mandated audit that occurs every seven years to assess whether the County’s Comprehensive Development Master Plan (CDMP) is effectively meeting its goals across a wide range of critical issues\, including housing\, transit\, and resilience. \nWe are proud to share that Mayor Daniella Levine Cava has specifically selected the AIA Miami Chapter to serve on this Task Force\, recognizing the vital role architects play in shaping our community. This is a significant milestone for our profession\, as the AIA did not have direct membership in the previous two EAR cycles (2012 and 2018). Having a direct voice at the table is a privilege\, but it requires the active participation of our membership to be effective.
