​This course is a broad overview that covers the essential basics of extruded aluminum and glass fenestration systems, emphasizing the differences of pre-glazed unitized fabrication, assembly and installation processes versus on-site glazing and “stick” assembly. The course focuses on exploring the similarities and differences between these building system types: Curtain Wall, Window Wall, and Storefront Framing, with discussion including both captured systems and SSG (Structural Silicone Glazing).
