Miami Resilience: Strategizing on Timber’s Role in Sustainable Urbanism

The LU_Lab is partnering with Woodworks Wood Products Council to host a workshop discussing the advancements of wood building techniques and to answer questions surrounding wood architecture in Florida. This discussion serves as an introduction to an ongoing dialogue that aims to identify and develop novel ways to integrate mass timber materials and methods into South Florida’s building industry. The goal is to ensure students and practitioners have the knowledge needed to pursue solid wood construction given the unique climatic and construction requirements in Florida.
