Business Manager

Established over 25 years ago, Gurrimatute is a full service architectural/interior design firm specialized in the design of aviation, educational, civic/federal, and healthcare projects. We are a boutique firm that does both very creative and highly technical projects.
Gurrimatute is currently seeking to immediately fill the position of Business Manager. The Business Manager will manage office administrative support activities and identifies solutions for process inefficiencies. Responsible for managing a variety of office administrative support activities (e.g., purchasing, facilities, maintenance, leasing, IT support.) Serves as primary management liaison for administrative issues.

Major Goals

  • Improve the overall efficiency of the firm’s operations
  • Proactively minimize interruptions to business activity/productivity

Job Responsibilities

  • Direct report to the Director of Operations
  • Interfaces regularly with the Bookkeeper on current and long-term financial goals
  • Assist in the execution of the Growth Plan and Vision for the Firm
  • Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Monitor and measure improvements to internal workflow
  • Update/maintain firm’s hurricane and storm preparedness plans
  • Document control of all Contracts
  • Coordinate with Outsourced IT Consultant
  • Create a 5-year technology growth plan which coincides with the 5-year growth plan for the firm
  • Purchase of all computers/softwares
  • Create financial budget for phased implementation of IT plan
  • Maintain all software licenses, product keys, passwords, inventory of assets, etc.
  • Troubleshoot moderate technology issues
  • Any other duties as assigned

Education

Bachelor’s Degree Business Administration or equivalent

Work Experience

5+ years as Business Manager for an architectural or engineering firm with demonstrated growth & profitability of the firm.
