These awards intend to encourage excellence in architecture, elevate public consciousness of great design and recognize those architects, designers, construction partners and hospitality venues whose work enriches our built environment.

All project entries must include the licensed architect, from anywhere in the world, as a member of the Project Team (architect, designer, construction partner and hospitality venue). However, the project entry may be submitted by the architect, designer or venue. The project entry must be located in Miami-Dade County and have been completed from January 1, 2014 through December 31, 2016.

Design Awards Process

Step One:
Submit entry form, fee and classification by Friday, January 20th, 2017. Entry forms can be sent via email with credit card payment information or by mail with a check or credit card payment information to the AIA Miami office.

Step Two:
Upon receipt of entry form and fees, AIA Miami will send a code number and a PowerPoint template for each entry via email. AIA Miami will then also provide complete submission guidelines and instructions for how and when to upload each submission. No other form of entry will be accepted.

Step Three:
A separate PowerPoint for each entry, clearly titled with the project name, code number and award classification must be uploaded as per the provided instructions. Each entry must be uploaded individually.

The deadline to upload all entries is February 3rd, 2017. Upon Jury review, finalists will be notified. The number of awards in each category will be at the discretion of the jury.
